Ready to smash it at Nationals? Preparing like a volleyball pro is the key to dominating the court. Here are some fun and essential tips to get you physically and mentally prepped for the big week. From perfecting your skills to fueling your body right, we’ve got you covered. Let’s make sure you’re game-day ready and set to bring home that trophy! Check out the tips below.


Physical Preparation: Get strong, agile, and ready to endure! Practice game-like drills to nail your setting, hitting, blocking, and passing skills. And don’t forget to warm up properly before every game and practice session.


Nutrition: Fuel up like a champ! Eat the right foods before games to boost your performance. Think lean proteins, complex carbs, and plenty of fruits and veggies.


Hydration: Stay hydrated! Drink plenty of water before games, especially if it’s a scorcher out there - whether it's indoor volleyball or beach volleyball. Your body will thank you!


Sleep: Snooze your way to success! Aim for at least 7-8 hours of sleep before matches. Hit the hay early to wake up refreshed and ready to win.


Mental Preparation: Visualize victory! Spend 20-30 minutes before the match picturing yourself and your teammates crushing it on the court. Positive vibes only!


Communication: Talk it up! Communicate with your teammates during the game to keep everyone in sync. Call the ball, move together, and keep each other pumped up.


Rest and Recovery: Take it easy! Rest is crucial to avoid overtraining and to help your body recover. Stay positive between rounds, believe in yourself, and avoid anyone who brings you down or makes you overthink.
